Notes from the Author
The Island Chronicles are good books. But as with wine and cheese, the author has improved his writing with age. The following books are available online by request. Please do not hesitate to contact me.
THE REVIVAL SERIES
Book 1 REVIVAL
Book 2 REVISION
Is it right or wrong to sell your soul to the Devil in order to do good? Nine-year-old Moses Lloyd Love sells his soul to the Devil in order to become a famous evangelist. The Revival Series explores the evolution of God as seen through the lens of magical realism.
THE EXIT SERIES
EXIT STAGE RIGHT
Fantasy Island meets Westworld when Amanda Van Ryan builds an island where clients design their own death by any means, intimate or spectacular. Taken out by a sniper on a black and white, film noir movie set. Mauled by a lion on a hunt. In a chariot race. At the end of a concert, alone in an empty theater. On stage as Hamlet. The possibilities are endless. As are the lives and reactions of those who come to watch, for reason both noble and prurient.
THE BOYS
Cardamom Johnson, a heretofore only child, wakes up one morning as twins. Twins who do not agree on how to handle the bifurcation. How, why, and can it be undone? From Daddy's Love Commune, to the Grand Canyon, to Venice, to New Orleans, to a remote island in the Pacific Northwest, to a nunnery for former prostitutes, like Candide, Cardamom negotiates a hostile world in search of answers.
CHASING SORROW
Chasing Sorrow is a genre-bending work composed of interlinked stories, many written in the form of playful, faux-screenplays centered around the melancholic, ego-bruised, and deeply human Christian Aaron Applegate, a failed screenwriter wrestling with grief, identity, and the existential absurdity of storytelling itself.
Eventually Applegate meets Cardamom Johnson and turns his book, Exit Stage Right, into a successful TV series.
EXIT STAGE LEFT
What happens to those Players on The Island who decide to live? How do their lives change and who do they become?
